| 15.02.07 | Fantastic Relay | Well,
the relay has been run. The conditions may not have been perfect, but
it was great for the public and very exciting to watch. In the mens class,
Sweden  beat
Norway  and
Finland  into
the places. The winning womens team was also Sweden ,
pipping the Czech Republic  and
Finland into
2nd and 3rd. Well done.Additionally we also re-rean the W17 middle distance race and this time there was no stopping Zuzana Kubatova from the Czech Republic . Great result. |

| 14.02.07 | Race News Update | After discussions with the IOF controller, the team managers and race director, it was decided that todays result in the W17 would be invalid, so we will be re-running this event tomorrow in Sportgastein. Additionally, due to extreme avalanche danger we will not be able to run the long distance. Thus it has been decided that we will run the relay event. Start times are as follows: JWOC girls 12h30, JWOC boys 12h40 and the Middle W17 12h50 (with 2 min start intervals in this class). More news updates and live results will follow tomorrow! | |

from todays middle distance. Well done to the winners - in the W20
race Eva Svensson from Sweden ,
in the M20 race Taras Kashchuk from Russia  and
in the M17 race Mikhail Utkin also from Russia .
The weather was perfect most of the day, with some moderate to hard
wind gusts throughout the race. Unfortunately, due to a missing control
on the W17 race, this result was declared invalid, and we will have
a new race tomorrow! |

Around 200 young European and Asian orienteers from 19 nations are looking forward to a speedy sprint, a highly technical middle distance, a powerful long distance and an exciting relay with high tension until the very end – the spectators all close to the race in the open air arena. |
